About 99.7 in 100 sets of the first seven tiles from a full French Scrabble bag contain at least one consonant.

Calculation

p = 1 − C(47, 7) / C(102, 7) ≈ 0.9965944

Assumptions

Seven tiles are drawn without replacement from the complete French bag. A, E, I, O, U, and Y are the 45 vowel tiles; these plus two blanks form the 47 non-consonants. The 55 consonants are the favourable tiles, and blanks count as neither consonants nor vowels.
